PIR Duct

The PU foam duct sheet adopts a "sandwich" core structure design. The middle layer is hard polyurethane (PU) foam, and the double-sided aluminum foil is used as the protective layer. This structure endows the sheet with excellent physical properties.
From the perspective of specifications, the product system is complete and can be adapted to projects of different scales and requirements:
Thickness specification: The mainstream thickness ranges from 10mm to 40mm, and the commonly used thickness is 20mm, which can meet different wind pressure and insulation requirements.
Size specification: The standard board lengths are 3950mm, 2950mm, 2900mm, etc. The width is uniformly 1200mm, which is convenient for transportation and on-site layout and cutting.
Surface layer differences: 80-micron embossed aluminum foil is suitable for indoor regular environments; 200-micron aluminum plates or color-coated steel plates are suitable for outdoor use or scenarios with higher requirements for bending strength; the smooth aluminum foil surface layer is specifically used in clean engineering projects such as hospitals and pharmaceuticals.

Physical Properties and Energy Saving of PU FOAM DUCT SHEET

The thermal insulation and heat preservation performance is the core advantage of PU ductboard. Data shows that its thermal conductivity can be as low as 0.02 W/(m·k), significantly better than traditional glass wool (about 0.04 W/(m·k) or more).

 

This means that under the same thickness, the insulation effect of PU board doubles, which can significantly reduce the loss of cold and heat during the transportation process, making the central air conditioning system operate closer to the designed condition and achieving remarkable energy-saving effects.


The mechanical strength data is also excellent:
Compressive strength: 202 kPa
Tensile strength: 423 kPa
These data indicate that this sheet material has sufficient structural strength to withstand the normal foot traffic and external pressure during installation and use, and is unlikely to deform or deteriorate.

PU DUCT PANEL

The lightweight advantage brings significant economic benefits. The PU foam duct panel weighs only about 1/7 of that of the traditional galvanized iron sheet duct. This feature directly reduces the requirements for the bearing capacity of the building structure, alleviates the overall load of the building, and is particularly suitable for high-rise buildings or structures with sensitive load requirements. 


Construction efficiency revolution. Traditional iron sheet ducts require the duct to be fabricated first, followed by the application of insulation layers. The process is cumbersome. However, PU sheet materials integrate duct fabrication and insulation into one process, "forming it in one installation". Combined with special plug-in flanges or aluminum alloy flanges for connection, the construction speed is extremely fast. After testing, the overall air leakage of the ducts using this system can be less than 2%, and its air tightness is much better than the traditional tongue-and-groove connection method. It reduces air leakage losses and further improves the system's energy efficiency.
