PU Pre-insulated Air Ductwork

PU Pre-insulated Air Ductwork represent a high-performance monolithic solution developed for state-of-the-art heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. The product adopts an accurately fabricated sandwich structure: its core layer is compact polyurethane foam possessing outstanding thermal resistance, clad on both sides with corrosion-proof aluminum foil claddings.

As off-site prefabricated modular components, the panels integrate thermal insulation capacity, structural bearing performance and air impermeability. The design omits independent on-site insulation construction procedures, effectively simplifying the overall ductwork erection process for various construction projects.

How to fabricate PU Pre-insulated Air Ductwork Straight Duct?

 

Step 1 - Tracing: outline the duct shapes on the panel.

Step 2 - Cutting: Use hand cutting tools to trim panel edges and carve 90-degree V-shaped grooves on the panels.

Step 3 - Gluing: Apply glue to the cutting surfaces of the panels.

Step 4 - Folding: Once the adhesive fully cures, fold both sides inward to form straight duct sections.

Step 5 - Taping: Seal all outer duct joints with tape to achieve full air tightness.

Step 6 - Flanging: After gluing and securing steel angle supports, mount concealed PVC or aluminum flanges.

Step 7 - Reinforcement: reinforce the duct with an aluminum reinforcement bar and G.I. Shaped disks, if necessary.

Step 8 - Sealing: Upon finishing duct installation, apply silicone to fully seal every internal joint.
