Rigid PU Pre-insulated Duct

Rigid PU Pre-insulated Duct is a modern, energy-efficient alternative to traditional sheet metal ducts used in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Its defining characteristic is that the structural layer, thermal insulation, and internal liner are all combined into a single, factory-made panel .

What is it Made Of?

These ducts have a simple, highly functional sandwich structure :

Core (The Insulator): The middle layer is made of rigid polyurethane (PU) foam. This forms the structural body of the duct and provides its primary insulation. It has a closed-cell structure, which makes it excellent at resisting heat transfer and blocking moisture .

Facings (The Protectors): Both sides of the foam core are bonded with a protective layer, most commonly aluminum foil (typically 60-80 microns thick) .

The inner facing is usually smooth to minimize air resistance and prevent dust buildup.

The outer facing provides durability and an extra barrier against the external environment.

Advantages of Rigid PU Pre-insulated Duct
