I. Product Definition: The core positioning of the New Composite Air Duct

Phenolic foam sandwich air ducts are composite air duct products based on phenolic foam insulation materials. They take phenolic foam as the core insulation layer and are covered with high-strength protective surface layers (such as color steel plates, aluminum foil, glass fiber cloth, etc.).

II. Core Structure

Core layer: Phenolic foam board, with a thermal conductivity of ≤0.025W/(m · K) (at 25℃), a closed-cell rate of over 95%, featuring both thermal insulation and a certain structural strength.

Inner layer: Mostly made of aluminum foil or fiberglass cloth, it is smooth, flat and has strong air tightness, reducing the resistance of air transportation and preventing condensation on the inner wall of the air duct at the same time.

Outer layer: Select color steel plate (for indoor dry environment) or galvanized aluminum-magnesium plate (for humid/outdoor environment) according to the scene. It is impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant, ensuring the overall structural stability of the air duct.

III. Four core advantages

High-efficiency insulation, energy conservation and consumption reduction: Due to the excellent insulation performance of the core layer phenolic foam, the air ducts do not need to be wrapped with additional insulation layers, which can reduce the cold/heat loss of the air conditioning system by about 15%-20%, and lower the building's energy consumption.

Fireproof and flame-retardant, safe and reliable: Complies with the B1 grade difficult-to-burn standard of GB 8624-2012 "Classification for Fire Performance of Building Materials and Products", no molten droplets when burning, low smoke and toxicity level, suitable for densely populated places such as hospitals and shopping malls.

Corrosion-resistant and moisture-proof, with strong adaptability: Both the surface layer and the core layer have excellent corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding humid environments (relative humidity ≤95%) and weak acid and alkali gases, avoiding the problems of easy rusting of traditional steel plate air ducts and easy aging of fiberglass reinforced plastic air ducts.

Low noise and sound insulation, comfort upgrade: The closed-cell foam structure can absorb the noise of air flow. The operating noise of the air duct is 3-5dB lower than that of traditional steel plate air ducts, enhancing the comfort of the indoor environment.

Iv. Applicable Scenarios

Central air conditioning and ventilation systems for commercial buildings: shopping malls, office buildings, and hotels, taking into account both energy conservation and aesthetics.

Medical facilities: Clean areas such as hospital operating rooms and icus, meeting the requirements of fire prevention, low pollution and easy cleaning;

Industrial plants: Constant temperature and humidity ventilation systems for electronic and food processing plants, corrosion-resistant and suitable for workshop environments;

Transportation hubs: Ventilation in public areas of airports and subways, lightweight design to meet the installation requirements in large Spaces.

V. Installation and Operation and Maintenance: Practical Value of Cost Reduction and Efficiency Enhancement

Lightweight and easy installation: The weight is only 1/4 of that of traditional steel plate air ducts (about 8-12kg/㎡), no heavy hoisting equipment is required, the installation efficiency is increased by more than 30%, and labor costs are reduced.

Modular design: It can be prefabricated and spliced according to the on-site dimensions. The interfaces are sealed with special sealing strips, and the air tightness meets the high-pressure air duct standard in GB 50243-2016 "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Ventilation and Air Conditioning Works".

Low operation and maintenance cost: The surface is smooth and not prone to dust accumulation. The cleaning cycle is 2 to 3 times longer than that of traditional air ducts, and there are no rust or aging problems. The service life can reach 15 to 20 years.
