I. Product Overview

PIR Foam Sheet (polyisocyanurate foam board) is a high-performance closed-cell structure insulation material made through polyurethane modification technology, which is generated by the trimerization reaction of polyether polyol and excess isocyanate.

The isocyanurate ring contained in its molecular structure endows the material with stability far exceeding that of ordinary polyurethane (PUR), especially excelling in fire resistance and heat resistance. Standard panels are often coated with aluminum foil on the surface, with a width of 600mm or 1200mm, and the length can be customized. The density range is 45-55kg /m³, making them an efficient insulation solution for fields such as construction and cold chain.

Ii. Core Performance Advantages

Outstanding heat insulation efficiency

The thermal conductivity is as low as 0.018 to 0.024 W/(m · K), and with a closed-cell rate of ≥95%, it effectively blocks air convection and water vapor penetration, and its heat insulation performance is superior to that of EPS and ordinary PU materials. The volume change rate is extremely small within the extreme temperature range of -196 ℃ to + 120℃, making it suitable for full-scenario insulation from deep cold to medium and high temperatures.

Upgrade fire safety

By adjusting the formula, the B1 grade of the GB 8624-2012 standard for flame retardancy can be achieved. When burning, a hard carbon layer forms on the surface to block the spread of flames, and the smoke emission is significantly lower than that of PUR materials. In contrast, ordinary PU foam usually only achieves B2 or B3 grade flame retardancy.

Structural strength and durability

The compressive strength reaches 150 to 300 kPa, capable of withstanding the loads of shelves, equipment, etc. It is not prone to shrinkage or cracking even after long-term use, and its service life can exceed 20 years, significantly reducing maintenance costs.

Iii. Diverse Application Scenarios

In the field of building energy conservation: It is applicable to exterior wall and roof insulation systems, reducing air conditioning energy consumption and meeting green building standards.

Cold chain logistics: As the core insulation layer of cold storage and refrigerated trucks, it supports an ultra-low temperature environment of -60 ℃ and requires a thickness design of 50 to 150mm.

Industrial insulation: Used for heat insulation of low-temperature pipelines and equipment, compatible with various substrates such as concrete and metal.

Iv. Construction and Environmental Protection Characteristics

Convenient construction: It can be freely cut, supports on-site spraying or modular installation, firmly adheres to various substrates, and can eliminate the cold bridge effect.

Environmental protection and safety: Utilizing fluorine-free foaming technology, it does not contain ozone-depleting substances such as CFCs and HCFCs, complies with RoHS standards, and has a low global warming potential (GWP). It is recommended that the ambient temperature during construction be between 15 and 35 degrees Celsius and the humidity be less than 85%. Protective measures should be taken.
