Material and Structural Characteristics of PIR HVAC Ducting 

Pre-insulated PIR Duct Foam Panels

Advantages of the core insulation layer:

It adopts polyisocyanate (PIR) foam base material, with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 W/(m · K). Its insulation and heat insulation performance far exceeds that of traditional rock wool and glass wool. It can effectively prevent the heat exchange between the cold/hot air inside the air duct and the external environment, reduce energy loss, and lower the energy consumption of the air conditioning system operation.

 

Composite structure design: It adopts an integrated structure of "insulation layer + outer protective shell". The outer protective shell can be made of materials such as aluminum foil, color steel plate, and PVC, which has excellent moisture-proof, anti-corrosion and anti-aging performance. It can prevent the insulation layer from absorbing moisture and failing, and extend the service life of the product. The inner layer is closely attached to the air duct, reducing air gaps and enhancing insulation and sealing performance.

 

Stable physical properties: The product has a uniform density (50-55 kg/m³), a compressive strength of ≥250 kPa, is not prone to deformation or collapse, and can withstand minor collisions during installation and use. It also has excellent flame-retardant performance (reaching B1 grade flame-retardant standard), and has low smoke toxicity when exposed to fire, ensuring safe use.
