PIR Pre-insulated Foam Ductwork is a high-performance HVAC composite duct system, featuring a rigid closed-cell PIR foam core with aluminum foil/metal facings. With ultra-low thermal conductivity (0.018–0.02 W/m·K), it drastically cuts energy loss. It delivers B1/Class 0 fire resistance, low smoke, lightweight structure, airtight joints, and moisture-proof performance. Core Structure and Material of PIR Pre-insulated Foam Ductwork

The PIR pre-insulation foam duct is made with modified polyisocyanurate rigid closed-cell foam as the core layer, and is protected by a double-sided aluminum foil or color-coated steel plate on both sides, which is integrated and formed.

Compared with the traditional galvanized iron sheet + external insulation structure in a separate unit, it combines the duct body with the insulation layer into one, eliminating common problems such as insulation layer detachment, cracking, and condensation.

The thermal conductivity of PIR is as low as 0.018–0.02 W/m·K, and its insulation efficiency far exceeds glass wool, rock wool, and ordinary PU. It maintains stable dimensions within the -150℃ to 80℃ range and does not deteriorate over time, thereby reducing the loss of air conditioning cooling and heating at the source.

Weather Resistance, Durability and Applicable of PIR Pre-insulated Foam Ductwork

The material is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, aging and deformation, with a service life of up to 15-20 years, which is much longer than that of traditional insulation systems.

The applicable scenarios include:

high-end public buildings such as commercial complexes, office buildings, and hotels; purification facilities such as hospitals and laboratories;
