PIR-ALU insulation panels adopt sandwich structure with rigid closed-cell PIR foam core and double-sided embossed aluminum foil facings, λ≤0.022W/(m·K). Product Structure and Basic Physical Properties of PIR-ALU Insulation Panels

The product is an integrated composite sheet made of double-sided aluminum foil and PIR hard foam core material. The standard specifications are 1200×2400/3950mm, with a thickness ranging from 20 to 100mm; the core material density is 50 to 55 kg/m³, with a closed-cell rate of ≥ 95%, and the common aluminum foil thickness is 60 to 80 μm, while the high-end model uses 200 μm anti-corrosion aluminum foil. The thermal conductivity is stable at 0.018 to 0.02 W/(m·K). Compared with ordinary PU (0.019 to 0.022 W/(m·K)) and XPS (0.028 to 0.032 W/(m·K)) insulation materials, under the same insulation coefficient, the thickness of the sheet can be reduced by 18% to 22%, saving the space for ceiling and enclosure.
The compressive strength is ≥ 250 kPa, and the pressure-bearing capacity of 10% deformation can reach above 200 kPa; the water absorption rate is ≤ 0.36%, the water vapor permeability coefficient of the double-sided aluminum foil μ is > 100,000, forming a fully sealed vapor barrier layer. In coastal high-humidity and underground damp environments, there is no risk of water absorption and bulging.
Fire Safety of PIR-ALU Insulation Panels
Relying on the cyanuric acid ring structure inherent in the PIR molecules, it is possible to achieve the national standard B1 level of flame retardancy and the European standard B-s1,d0, and the American standard ASTM E84 Class0 flame retardant grades without excessive addition of flame retardants. It complies with the BS476 fire detection specification. When exposed to fire, the surface quickly carbonizes and chars, without molten dripping or low smoke and low toxicity, and will not ignite the surrounding building materials.
Different from the defect of ordinary PU boards where they flow and assist combustion during burning, it is the designated insulation base material for fire control projects in hospitals, pharmaceutical factories, clean workshops, commercial complexes, etc. After actual testing of continuous burning with open flame for 5 minutes, there is no deep ignition inside the board, and the risk of fire spread is much lower than that of rock wool, glass wool duct external insulation schemes.

Energy Consumption and Life Cycle Economic Benefits of PIR-ALU Insulation Panels

The ultra-low thermal conductivity significantly reduces the cooling and heating losses of air conditioners. After using this material for the ducts of central air conditioning systems, the system's cooling and heating losses decrease by 35% to 42%. In commercial buildings, the annual electricity savings from air conditioning can reach 18% to 25%. The product is free of fluorine foaming (without CFC/HCFC), complies with the EU REACH and domestic green building standards, has a lifespan of 25 to 30 years, far exceeding the 5 to 8 years of fiberglass wool and the 12 years of ordinary PU boards.
During the entire life cycle, only routine inspection of joint sealing is required, with almost no replacement or repair costs. From a long-term operation and maintenance perspective, the difference in electricity costs saved in the first 3 years can offset the purchase premium of the flat material over EPS.
