What is a PU Rectangular Duct?
Polyurethane (PU) Rectangular Duct is a rigid, lightweight air distribution system primarily used in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) applications. Unlike traditional galvanized iron or fiberglass ducts, the core structural material of this duct is rigid polyurethane foam, typically sandwiched between two protective layers (often aluminum foil).
It is a specific form of PU sandwich panel duct, manufactured into rectangular shapes to replace traditional sheet metal ductwork.
Key Construction
The duct is made of a composite structure:
Core: High-density rigid polyurethane (PU) Foam. This provides thermal insulation and structural rigidity.
Inner/Outer Liners: Smooth, non-hygroscopic layers (e.g., aluminum foil, or reinforced aluminum). The inner layer is designed for low air friction, easy cleaning, and fire resistance.

Superior Thermal Insulation:
The PU core has a very low thermal conductivity (typically 0.020–0.030 W/m·K). It eliminates the need for separate external insulation, preventing condensation and thermal loss.
