Material and structural features of PI Duct Board
This product uses closed-cell phenolic foam as the main core material, with double-sided composite anti-corrosion aluminum foil. The whole structure is an integrated composite structure.
The closed-cell internal structure is compact and uniform, different from the porous form of glass fibers. This fundamentally blocks water vapor penetration and dust accumulation.
The board density is low, and the overall texture is lightweight. At the same time, it retains good rigidity and compressive strength. During transportation, cutting, and splicing, it is not prone to deformation. The integrated design eliminates the need for a separate process of wrapping the insulation layer later, and the structural stability is much better than that of traditional split-type air ducts.
Thermal insulation and Fire safety performance of PI Duct Board
The core advantage of this product lies in its excellent thermal insulation properties.
The thermal conductivity is extremely low, ensuring superior insulation effect. Under the same insulation standards, the thickness required for PI air duct panels is smaller, which can effectively reduce the space occupied by the air ducts and be suitable for buildings with limited ceiling heights.
Fire safety performance
As an ideal material for fire-prone areas with strict fire safety requirements, PI duct panels inherently possess flame-retardant properties and do not require additional flame retardants. Their fire resistance rating can reach industry standards. When exposed to open flames, the surface forms a dense carbonized layer, which does not burn, does not drip, has low smoke emission, and releases little toxic gas. This effectively prevents the spread of fire and fully complies with fire safety regulations for high-rise buildings, hospitals, shopping malls, etc. The safety coefficient is far superior to that of ordinary foam and fiber-based duct panels.
