PU Aluminium Duct Panel is a high-performance pre-insulated HVAC sandwich panel, with rigid flame-retardant PU foam core and embossed aluminum foil facings on both sides.
It features ultra-low thermal conductivity, lightweight structure, air-tightness, moisture-proof and corrosion resistance.
Widely used in commercial, industrial and residential ventilation systems, it cuts energy loss, speeds up on-site fabrication, lowers labor cost and ensures long service life, making it an ideal alternative to traditional ductwork.

Structure and Characteristics of PU Aluminium Duct Panel
The PU aluminum foil duct panel is a sandwich composite structure. The core layer is high-density closed-cell flame-retardant rigid PU foam, and the double-sided embossed aluminum foil surface layer. It is a mainstream prefabricated insulation duct panel in the HVAC field.
Core layer parameters: density 45–55 kg/m³, thermal conductivity as low as 0.018–0.022 W/(m・K), closed-cell ratio ≥ 95%, non-absorbent, and not prone to condensation.
Surface layer material: commonly used 60–80 μm embossed aluminum foil, with high strength and good air tightness, and also has the functions of heat insulation reflection and protection.
Standard specifications: thickness 20/25/30/40 mm, width 1200 mm, can be cut as needed, suitable for on-site rapid assembly.
Integrated structure design, no need for additional insulation layer wrapping, simplifies the duct structure from the root cause, and takes into account both strength and continuous insulation.
Core Performance of PU Aluminium Duct Panel
Ultra-efficient energy conservation and low thermal conductivity, combined with aluminum foil heat reflection, result in a 25%–30% reduction in heat and cold loss compared to traditional galvanized iron sheet ducts. The energy consumption of the air conditioning system decreases by 18%–22%.
The airtight, moisture-proof and dew-proof closed-cell structure has an absorption rate of ≤ 1%. When combined with the special sealing adhesive for splicing, the air leakage rate is far lower than the national standard limit, effectively preventing condensation and mold growth in humid environments.
The noise-reducing, clean and durable PU core layer absorbs air flow vibrations and noise, achieving a noise reduction of 5-10 dB compared to metal ducts. The aluminum foil surface is smooth, does not accumulate dust, and is not prone to bacterial growth, making it suitable for clean workshops, hospitals and other scenarios with high hygiene requirements. The normal service life can reach 25 years, and maintenance is basically required-free in the later stage.
Comparison with Traditional Air Ducts of PU Aluminium Duct Panel
Traditional galvanized air ducts: Require additional insulation cotton, have more processes, high air leakage rate, prone to condensation and corrosion, and require frequent maintenance.
PU aluminum foil air duct sheet: Integrated insulation, quick installation, strong air tightness, energy saving and noise reduction, long service life, and lower overall cost.
The drawback is that it has limited applicability in high-temperature conditions (＞100℃), its compressive strength is lower than that of metal ducts, and it is prone to local deformation due to heavy object impact. Proper protection should be taken during transportation and installation.
The industry is upgrading towards higher flame retardancy, lower thermal conductivity, and stronger surface layers. High-end versions such as PIR modified PU and double-sided composite aluminum plates are gradually becoming more widespread, meeting higher fire resistance and durability requirements.
