PU Air Conditioning Ducts, alternatively designated PU aluminum foil duct panel and PU sandwich duct panel, is a high-spec composite material intended for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) air duct applications.

Durability Performance Indicators

Benefiting from the stable cyclic macromolecular structure of PU foam, its thermal conductivity variation is controlled within a maximum increase of 5% across 25 years, with a rated service life of 20–25 years. By contrast, galvanized steel ducts develop corrosion and air leakage after 5–8 years, and rock wool will pulverise and lose its insulating function within 5 years. The overall life-cycle replacement cost can be lowered by 70%.

Environmental Test Outcomes

No harmful substances such as formaldehyde or benzene are released, and asbestos is absent from the formulation. The material loss rate during foaming production stands at only 3%, and residual scraps are recyclable for secondary manufacturing. Cleanliness Characteristics

The smooth antibacterial aluminium foil cladding on both sides reduces internal air flow resistance by 12% and inhibits dust accumulation and mould growth. It is applicable to purified ventilation systems for food factories and surgical operating rooms. Extra antibacterial inner lining coating is unnecessary, resulting in zero additional consumable costs for clean system construction.

PU Air Conditioning Ducts deliver outstanding anti-condensation performance by virtue of high-grade thermal insulation and fully airtight aluminium foil facings. PU cellular foam boasts an ultra-low thermal conductivity coefficient, which equalizes the temperature of duct outer surfaces and internal airflow. This greatly reduces the temperature differential between ductwork and ambient atmosphere, preventing surface temperatures from reaching the dew point, the fundamental factor leading to surface condensation.

 

In addition, continuous sealed aluminium foil linings obstruct lateral moisture migration from the surrounding environment, while precision-machined joint structures eliminate air infiltration and exfiltration. This isolates humid ambient air from the low-temperature insulating core, further mitigating condensation formation.

 

Suppressed condensation eliminates moisture retention and mould colonisation, and prevents progressive degradation of insulation thermal performance over operational years. Constant thermal resistance of the duct assembly avoids elevated heat transfer losses induced by dampened or compromised insulation. Consequently, the associated HVAC installation maintains steady low energy draw, sustaining consistent energy efficiency across the full design service life of the duct system.
