PIRALU Duct Panel is a high‑performance pre‑insulated HVAC duct panel. It features a rigid PIR foam core bonded with double‑sided aluminum foil, integrating structure, insulation and vapor barrier. It delivers low thermal conductivity (λ=0.022 W/m·K), light weight, easy installation and excellent fire safety for modern duct systems.

Structural and Material of PIRALU Duct Panel

The PIRALU duct panel is a "aluminum foil - PIR foam - aluminum foil" sandwich composite structure. The core is closed-cell rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam, and it is double-sided thermally pressed with 60-80μm reinforced aluminum foil. The standard specifications are 20mm × 1200mm × 3000/4000mm.
The core material density is 35-53kg/m³, with a closed-cell ratio of ≥95%, providing both rigidity and lightweight; the aluminum foil surface layer offers high airtightness, vapor barrier, and surface strength. The one-piece molding avoids the traditional duct problems of "vacant insulation layer and cold bridge".
Complies with Euroclass B-s2,d0 and BS476 Part 6/7 Class 0 standards, being non-flammable, low-smoke, and non-toxic, and self-extinguishing upon removal from fire.
Thermal Performance and Energy Efficiency of PIRALU Duct Panel
The core advantage is the extremely low thermal conductivity, λ = 0.018–0.02 W/m·K (20℃), which is significantly better than glass wool (λ ≈ 0.040), rock wool (λ ≈ 0.038), and ordinary PU (λ ≈ 0.023).
The thermal resistance of a 20mm board is approximately R ≈ 0.91 m²·K/W, meeting the insulation standards for most commercial buildings' HVAC systems; compared to traditional galvanized iron sheet + external insulation ductwork, the energy saving rate can reach 25%–30%, significantly reducing the load of the air conditioning unit and electricity consumption.
The closed-cell structure has an absorption rate of water < 1% (by volume), and the aluminum foil serves as a reliable vapor barrier, preventing condensation from the source and being suitable for humid regions.

Physical Mechanics and Installation of PIRALU Duct Panel

Lightweight: The surface density is only 2–4 kg/m², approximately 70% lighter than traditional insulation ducts, reducing the load on the ceiling and transportation costs.
High strength: The compressive strength is 300 ± 30 kPa, with sufficient bending rigidity, and it is not prone to deformation. It can be directly used as a structural duct.
Efficient installation: It can be cut and joined on-site, with matching mortise-and-tenon joints and special accessories. The installation cycle is shortened by 40%–50%, with tight joints and a leakage rate of less than 5% (the leakage rate of traditional iron sheet ducts is 15%–20%).
Corrosion Resistance: The aluminum foil resists water vapor penetration, and PIR is resistant to acids and alkalis and anti-aging. It does not cause corrosion or deformation during long-term use, and its service life can reach over 20 years.
