PIR Insulation Air Duct Panel

PIR Insulation Air Duct Panel are rigid thermal insulation boards specially engineered for HVAC air distribution systems. Functioning as pre-insulated duct panels, they are fabricated into lightweight, high-performance ductwork, serving as an alternative to conventional sheet metal ducts fitted with external insulation.

Core Material: Rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam featuring a high closed-cell ratio (generally over 90%).

Facings: Both surfaces are laminated with reinforced aluminium foil, fiberglass scrim or other vapour retarder layers to deliver enhanced durability, thermal reflectivity and a smooth airflow surface.

Fire Resistance and Moisture Resistance of PIR Insulation Air Duct Panel

Fire Resistance Class: Euroclass B-s2,d0 (for some models C-s2,d0), non-flammable, low smoke, no dripping.

Combustion Characteristics: When exposed to fire, it chars but does not melt, the smoke is low in toxicity, and complies with EN 13501-1 and HVAC duct safety standards.

Application Safety: Suitable for densely populated places such as shopping malls, hospitals, and office buildings, and has passed FM and CE certifications.

Moisture Resistance and Durability
Absorption rate: ≤ 1% (long-term immersion), double-layer barrier of closed-cell + aluminum foil, completely vapor-proof (aluminum foil > 50 μm), eliminating condensation water and mold.

Corrosion resistance: Aluminum foil is resistant to oxidation and acid-base, PIR core is resistant to aging, with a service life of ≥ 20 years, maintenance-free, twice as long as traditional ducts in terms of lifespan.

Antibacterial: Smooth surface for easy cleaning, inhibits bacterial growth, suitable for scenarios with high hygiene requirements such as clean rooms and food factories.
