Light Weight PIR Duct System
Light Weight PIR Duct System, also named pre-insulated PIR air duct system, is an integrated all-in-one HVAC ventilation solution made of rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam composite panels. It replaces traditional galvanized iron (GI) metal ducts with separate on-site thermal insulation, integrating air duct frame, thermal insulation, vapor barrier and airtight lining in one single panel.
Standard 3-layer sandwich structure
Inner facing layer: Embossed aluminum foil (60/80 micron) or thin aluminum sheet. Smooth inner surface cuts airflow friction, works as air & vapor barrier, anti-corrosion and dust-free.
Core insulation layer: Closed-cell rigid PIR foam, density 52 kg/m³, the core lightweight & thermal insulation material.
Outer protective layer: Matching aluminum foil, thick aluminum sheet or pre-coated galvanized steel for mechanical protection and moisture isolation.

Key Technical Performance Features of PIR Duct System
(1) Superior Thermal Insulation & Energy Saving
Thermal conductivity λ = 0.022 W/(m·K), ultra-low heat transfer coefficient
Closed-cell rate ≥98%, water absorption ≤1%, completely avoids condensation dripping inside ducts; eliminates energy loss of chilled/hot air along pipelines, cuts long-term AHU operation electricity cost.
(2) Class-Leading Fire Safety
PIR foam outperforms ordinary PU foam on flame retardancy:
Self-extinguishing when fire source removed, no molten dripping; forms dense carbonized protective layer to block flame spread
Compliant with international standards: BS 476 Class 0, EN 45545, GB 8624 B1; low smoke density & low toxic gas emission, safe for crowded public buildings (malls, hospitals, metro).
(3) Excellent Air Tightness & Low Air Loss
Adopt special aluminum alloy flange + full-seal tape joint system:
Air leakage rate ≤2%, far better than 5%–10% of traditional metal ducts
Inner wall friction coefficient only 0.0135, low wind resistance, supports max airflow velocity up to 12 m/s, reduces fan power consumption.

Formaldehyde, benzene, CFC/HCFC free, eco-friendly; antibacterial rate ≥99.5%, anti-mold grade 0
