AluPIR Foam Panel

 

AluPIR foam board is a high-performance insulation panel made of PIR (polyisocyanurate) foam as the core material and double-sided composite aluminum foil. Its core advantages lie in extreme insulation, fire safety, moisture resistance, durability, light weight, and ease of installation. It is widely used in HVAC ducts, building envelopes, cold chain storage, and other scenarios.

Thermal Performance of AluPIR Foam Panel

PIR Air Duct

Thermal conductivity λ = 0.02 W/m·K (25℃), far superior to EPS (0.038–0.042) and rock wool (0.040–0.045), with an increase in insulation efficiency of 30%+.
High thermal resistance R value: 20mm thick R = 0.8 m²·K/W; 40mm thick R = 1.6 m²·K/W, meeting the high insulation requirements of national standard GB 50176.
Aluminum foil reflective insulation: Infrared reflectivity > 90%, can block radiant heat, providing cooling in summer and insulation in winter, reducing HVAC energy consumption by 25%–35%.

 

Surface layer (aluminum foil): Thickness 0.06–0.08mm, embossed treatment, with functions of vapor barrier, anti-corrosion, and reflection. Water vapor permeability resistance μ > 100,000, almost no water vapor permeation.

 

Composite structure: Aluminum foil / PIR foam / aluminum foil, total thickness 10–40mm, standard size 3950×1200mm, integrated molding, no layering or cracking.

Fire Safety and Moisture-proof of AluPIR Foam Panel

1. Fire resistance rating: Meets GB 8624 B1 grade (flame retardant), oxygen index ≥ 32, self-extinguishes when away from fire, no dripping substances.
High temperature resistance: PIR heat distortion temperature > 180℃, can withstand 250℃ for a short period, far superior to PU (80℃), does not easily soften and collapse during a fire.
Low smoke and non-toxic: Burning smoke density ≤ 75, no toxic gas release, complies with building fire protection standards, suitable for densely populated places such as shopping malls and hospitals.


2. Moisture-proof and durable: Closed-cell vapor barrier, long service life
Closed-cell waterproofing: PIR has a closed-cell rate of over 95%, with an absorption rate of ≤ 0.2%. In long-term humid environments, the thermal conductivity remains stable, and it does not absorb water or develop mold.
Aluminum foil vapor barrier: The double-sided aluminum foil forms a sealed vapor barrier, completely blocking water vapor penetration, eliminating "cold bridge" condensation, and preventing dripping in the air duct and moisture re-entrainment on the wall.
