Product Definition and Structure
PID Duct, namely Pre-Insulated Duct, is a key innovative product in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Its structure usually adopts a sandwich design, with polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam or phenolic foam, etc. as the core insulation layer.
Take PIR foam as an example. It is sandwiched between two layers of aluminum foil. The PID Duct made of phenolic foam has more outstanding fire resistance performance and generates very little smoke and toxic gases at high temperatures.
