PU Pre-insulated Air Duct Panel

PU pre-insulated air duct panels are a modern, multi-layered material used to build heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ductwork. They are designed to replace traditional metal ducts that require separate insulation.

What Is It & How Is It Constructed?

These panels have a sandwich structure consisting of two primary components:

Core Material: A rigid Polyurethane (PU) foam with a closed-cell structure. This core provides the thermal insulation.

Surface Layers: Both sides are laminated with a protective layer, typically embossed aluminum foil (usually 60-80 microns thick). This foil acts as a vapor barrier, provides corrosion resistance, and creates a smooth interior surface for airflow.
