PU PID Panels

PU PID Panels, alternatively designated PU aluminum foil duct panel and PU sandwich duct panel, is a high-spec composite material intended for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) air duct applications.

The product adopts a trilaminar laminated structure composed of:

Dual outer facings: High-tensile aluminum foil, supplied in plain or embossed variants

Internal core substrate: Rigid polyurethane (PU) foam, functioning as structural backing and thermal insulating medium

Core Performance of PU PID Panels

Super strong heat insulation and heat preservation performance

With polyurethane (PU) as the core material, its thermal conductivity is as low as ≤0.022W/(m · K), which is far superior to traditional materials such as rock wool (≥0.040W/(m · K)) and EPS (≥0.033W/(m · K)).

The core material has a closed-cell rate of over 95%, effectively blocking air convection and heat conduction. It maintains stable insulation performance in an environment ranging from -40 ℃ to 80℃, making it suitable for extreme scenarios such as low-temperature cold storage and high-temperature workshops.

Reliable fire resistance performance

The core material is added with environmentally friendly flame retardants and has passed the B1 grade test of GB 8624-2012 "Classification for Fire Performance of Building Materials and Products". When exposed to fire, it only carbonizes on the surface without generating molten droplets.

The smoke toxicity grade reaches "ZA1" (the lowest toxicity), meeting the fire protection requirements of industrial plants, public buildings, etc.

Anti-aging and structural strength

The surface coating can be selected from color steel plate, aluminum foil, glass fiber cloth, etc. It is resistant to acid and alkali, ultraviolet aging, and can resist rain erosion and temperature difference deformation when used outdoors.

The composite structure design enables the sheet to have a bending strength of ≥15MPa and a compressive strength of ≥20MPa, allowing it to be directly used as a sheet for the enclosure structure and reducing the need for additional supporting components.

How to make Straight Ducts with PU PID Panels

Tools: Pre-insulated Duct Cutting Tools Kit, including V cutter.
Method: Boards are scored, folded, and assembled into rectangular; joints sealed with pressure-sensitive aluminum foil tape or water-based acrylic adhesive.
Support: While rigid enough for low-to-medium static pressure (typically ≤ 1500 Pa, or 6″ w.g.), ducts require proper hanging supports per manufacturer guidelines.
