Polyurethane Pre-insulated Duct boards are a modern, pre-insulated ductwork system used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. It's designed as a high-performance alternative to traditional metal ducts, integrating structure and insulation into a single, lightweight panel.
What is it Made Of?
This duct adopts a sandwich panel structure composed of three core layers, detailed as follows:
Aluminum Facings: Aluminum foil or aluminum sheets clad both the interior and exterior faces of the duct. This delivers a smooth, sanitary surface with outstanding corrosion resistance. For indoor applications, the aluminum foil generally ranges from 60 to 80 microns in thickness. For harsh operating conditions or outdoor installation, thicker aluminum sheets or extra protective coatings are adopted instead.
Polyurethane (PU) Foam Core: The central core consists of rigid PU foam, acting as the main thermal insulation component. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the panel gains waterproof performance along with effective sound attenuation properties.
Environmentally Friendly Foam: The PU foam is produced free of ozone-depleting substances including CFCs and HCFCs, complying with environmental protection standards.
