Material Technology of Polyurethane Insulation Duct Panels

Polyurethane (PU) is the preferred material for insulation, as its molecular structure ensures excellent insulation performance. This panel uses hard PU foam with a density of ≥ 40-45 kg/m³, and the closed-cell ratio is over 95%. This effectively blocks heat conduction caused by air convection. The thermal conductivity is much better than that of traditional rock wool (0.035 W/(m·K)) and glass wool (0.038 W/(m·K)).
At the same time, after adding environmentally friendly flame retardants, the oxygen index is ≥ 28, meeting the B1-level flame retardant standard. It does not produce toxic gases when exposed to fire and complies with safety certification requirements in overseas markets such as Europe, the United States, and the Middle East (such as UL94, CE certification).
In addition, PU material has strong resistance to water vapor penetration and an absorption rate of ≤ 3%. This can prevent condensation and mold formation inside the duct, prolonging the system's service life, and is particularly suitable for humid climate regions such as Southeast Asia and Australia.
