Aluminium Faced PU HVAC Duct
Aluminium Faced PU HVAC Duct is a modern, pre-insulated ductwork system used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. It's designed as a high-performance alternative to traditional metal ducts, integrating structure and insulation into a single, lightweight panel.
What is it Made Of?
This duct is a sandwich panel with three key layers:
Aluminum Facings: Both the inner and outer surfaces are covered with a layer of aluminum foil or sheet. This provides a smooth, hygienic, and corrosion-resistant surface. The aluminum foil is typically 60 to 80 microns thick for indoor use, but a thicker aluminum sheet or additional coating may be used for more demanding or external environments.
Polyurethane (PU) Foam Core: The middle layer is a rigid PU foam that serves as the primary thermal insulator. Its closed-cell structure also makes the panel waterproof and provides good sound insulation.
Environmentally Friendly Foam: The PU foam is often manufactured without CFCs or HCFCs, which are harmful to the ozone layer.
