Rigid PIR Pre-insulated Duct is a modern, all-in-one HVAC air distribution system that replaces traditional sheet metal ducts. It consists of a rigid Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core factory-bonded to aluminum foil facings on both sides. This "sandwich" construction combines the air handling duct and its thermal insulation into a single lightweight panel.

 

Core Composition

The performance of this system comes from its three integrated layers:

Core Material: Rigid Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam. It is a thermoset plastic with a closed-cell structure that offers high thermal resistance and superior fire performance compared to other foam insulations.

Facings: Factory-laminated aluminum foil on both sides. This provides a smooth, airtight surface for airflow, a built-in vapor barrier, and a reflective surface that enhances thermal performance.
