Aluminum Faced PIR Pre-insulated Duct is a modern, high-performance composite panel used to construct heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ductwork. It is designed as a direct alternative to traditional metal ducts, offering significant advantages in thermal efficiency and ease of installation.
Core Composition & Structure
The panel is a sandwich-structured product composed of three key layers.
Core: A rigid foam made of Polyisocyanurate (PIR), a thermoset plastic known for its excellent thermal insulation and fire-resistant properties
The density of this foam core is typically around 53 kg/m³
Facings: Both surfaces of the foam core are bonded with aluminum foil. The thickness of this foil can vary based on the application, with common options being 80 microns for internal use and 200 microns for enhanced durability in external or demanding environments.

Superior Thermal Insulation:

The pre-insulated panels are designed for rapid fabrication using specialized tools and accessories, which can significantly shorten construction periods compared to traditional metalworking.
Durability and Low Maintenance:
The aluminum foil facing provides a tough, corrosion-resistant surface. The closed-cell structure of the PIR foam also offers very low water absorption (around 0.1-0.36%), preventing moisture-related issues and bacterial growth.
