PU Foam Duct Heat Insulation Materials Rigid Foam Air Duct Panel

 

Rigid PU Foam Air Duct Panel is a high-performance pre-insulated material for HVAC systems, featuring a sandwich structure with a closed-cell rigid PU foam core and protective facings.

Structure & Composition

Core: Closed-cell rigid PU foam with a density of 45–55 kg/m³, usually 10–40mm thick. It has a low thermal conductivity of around 0.020 W/m·K, effectively reducing heat loss/gain in the duct.

Facings: Commonly, aluminum foil (0.06–0.08mm thick, often embossed) is bonded to both sides. The facings enhance airtightness, corrosion resistance, and structural rigidity, while also being easy to clean.

Energy Efficiency: Minimizes heat transfer, saving 20%–30% of energy compared to traditional metal ducts, and helps maintain the air temperature in the duct.

Lightweight & Easy Installation: 70% lighter than galvanized steel ducts, pre-fabricated for quick assembly, reducing installation time by 40%–60%. It can be easily cut and installed in confined spaces.

Moisture & Hygiene: The closed-cell structure of the foam resists moisture intrusion, and the smooth foil facings are dust-resistant, mold-resistant, and antibacterial, suitable for hospitals, food plants, and clean rooms.

Durability: High compressive strength (≥0.2MPa) and bending strength, can withstand certain mechanical forces without damage. Under normal use, the service life can exceed 20 years with low maintenance.

Sound Insulation: The PU foam core absorbs and dampens airflow noise, reducing noise transmission and creating a quieter indoor environment.
