Core Performance of PU Duct Aluminum Panel

Lightweight and easy installation: The weight is only 1/5 of that of traditional iron sheet ducts (including insulation), no need for large lifting equipment, and can be moved manually; tongue-and-groove / mortise-and-tenon connection + special sealing glue, construction period is shortened by 40%, and there is less dust on site.
Waterproof and mold-resistant + clean: Extremely low water absorption rate, no condensation water leakage problem; the aluminum foil surface is smooth, dust does not accumulate, and can meet the Class 6–8 clean room requirements for food, medicine, and electronics.
Noise reduction + corrosion resistance: The PU foam has good sound absorption properties, can reduce duct airflow noise by 3–5 dB; the aluminum foil / aluminum plate is resistant to acid and alkali, is more resistant to dampness / coastal environment corrosion than galvanized iron sheet, and has a lifespan of over 20 years.

Comparison with traditional ducts & PIR panels

Comparison with traditional galvanized iron sheet + fiberglass insulation: Installation is faster, weight is lighter, no secondary insulation construction, no cold bridge, and lower long-term energy consumption; the disadvantage is that the initial purchase cost is slightly higher.

Comparison with PIR (polyisocyanurate) duct panels: PU has better toughness and is easier to process; PIR has slightly better temperature resistance and fire resistance, but the price is usually higher.

Construction and Precautions of PU Duct Aluminum Panel

Use dedicated CNC or manual cutting tools for cutting to prevent the PU foam from cracking and the aluminum foil from warping.

When assembling, use matching sealant and tape to ensure airtightness; for flange connections, use special angle brackets to prevent air leakage.

Do not weld or perform open flame operations on the surface of the panels; if used in high-temperature areas, additional heat insulation protection is required.

During transportation, avoid heavy pressure and rain exposure to prevent the panels from deforming or getting damp.

For the European market, it is necessary to comply with the EN 13501-1 fire safety standard and obtain CE certification; for Russia, GOST certification is required; for North America, it must meet the ASTM E84 and UL 181 standards.
