High Density PU Foam Duct Heat Insulation Materials

Structure and Composition

Core Material: It usually takes closed-cell PU foam as the core. The foam has a density of about 50 kg/m³, which endows the duct panel with excellent thermal insulation performance. The thermal conductivity of PU foam is very low, generally around 0.022 W/m·K, which can effectively reduce heat loss or gain in the HVAC system.

Facing Material: Aluminum foil is often bonded to both sides of the PU foam core. The thickness of the aluminum foil is generally 0.06 mm, and it is usually embossed to increase the surface area and enhance the bonding strength with the foam core. The aluminum foil not only improves the airtightness of the duct panel but also has good corrosion resistance and surface durability.
