Aluminium Faced PIR Air Duct Board
Aluminium Faced PIR Air Duct Board is a pre-insulated composite panel used primarily for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) ductwork. It's a modern alternative to traditional metal ducts, designed to be lightweight, energy-efficient, and quick to install.
This "sandwich" board is a composite of two main materials:
The Core: PIR (Polyisocyanurate) Foam. This is the insulation layer. It is a closed-cell foam known for its excellent thermal properties (with a very low thermal conductivity of around 0.022 W/m·k) and high fire resistance.
The Facings: Aluminium Foil or Sheet. This acts as a protective, airtight, and corrosion-resistant layer on both sides of the foam. The thickness can vary (e.g., 60 or 80 microns for internal use or 200 microns for more durability in external environments)
